I'm dreaming of a white Easter

Well, I don't have to dream - it's a reality. I think next year I'll bet on there being a white Easter, it's more likely than a white Christmas these days. Four days' holiday in the cold frost and snow doesn't make it very likely we'll be having extra walkies.

Must make a resolution to update my diary more regularly, although it doesn't help that this crappy system doesn't work in Firefox, my man's usual browser.

Well, his nibs has decided to run for the parish council again and there's going to be an election. Six of them standing for 5 seats - one of 'em is going to be unlucky. My man says he won't be bothered if it's him, but I wonder. I wonder what he's been up to that none of the other current members are standing...

Rain, rain and more rain

I didn't realise we had a monsoon season in England but we've had so much rain this winter it must be monsoon time. And since it was raining this morning we haven't been for our walkies today. I'd say my human's a wimp but I'm none too keen on the wet either. At his age he needs the exercise. It had just better not be raining tomorrow, that's all I can hope...

A trip to the smoke

We're off to London to lunch with our friends in Charlton tomorrow. They were going to come to us but Terry's not up to driving so we're going there. I know the lad was looking forward to a trip to the pub but I guess he'll just have to go next week one evening instead. Can't say I find it an exciting drive, especially the M25 and M11 but it will be nice to see T and D...

A risky business

My lad went on a risk assessment seminar this morning. It was for parish and town councils, but it seems you can't do a thing these days without a risk assessment. They'll need one for the fete, another for the barbecue, another for the car boot sale; a financial risk assessment, a fire risk assessment, one for himself working alone at home, and goodness knows what else. I wonder if he'll have to do one for our walkies. Hmmm...

An interesting day

It was quite a long trip down to Sussex. Oh, I do wish he would take the roundabouts a bit more gently! Tips up my bed and makes me feels a little queasy sometimes. I guess it was a success from the way he was muttering all the way home. Seems his date went well so I suppose we'll be making the trip again before long. I hope they find a more interesting place next time than Pease Pottage - what would expect when you name a place "pea soup"! Anyway I got a little walk and watched the women playing football. It made for a change of routine, but it was good to get home again.

Well this is it

My own blog! It's about time I did this. I used to keep a diary of life with my human but it went by the board many months ago.

Now I've done it, what do I say? Well, tomorrow I've been promised a ride out in the car as himself has a "date" with someone he's been emailing for a few weeks. I just hope I'm not going to end up a gooseberry.

Well that will do for starters.

Love 'n' licks, Lucy
